Balinese overview
Developed in the USA from Siamese cats which carried the long hair gene. First imported to the UK in 1973. Essentially a semi-longhaired Siamese, they are regularly outcrossed to that breed.
The Balinese has championship status. Siamese in temperament and voice and very intelligent and need little grooming.
