Developed originally in the USA and first imported to the UK in 1949. Imports can no longer be registered with GCCF to avoid importing the gene for cranial malformations which occur now in the USA. Championship status. Active, extremely friendly and sometimes boisterous. Can be noisy. Need little grooming.
