Beagle overview
The Beagle is a hunting dog (original use was for hunting hare
and rabbit) but it has a calm and affectionate nature, making it
a favourite with pet owners.
They are somewhat easily distracted and has a tendency to wander off in search of a scent or other dogs. Active small breed and therefore prefers country environments. There is a great variation in size and type within the UK and across the world. Some packs of Beagles still exist in the hunting field.
