Norfolk Terrier overview
The Norfolk Terrier descended from small red and black and tan terriers from East Anglia and probably includes bloodlines from a variety of terriers, including Yorkshire Terrier and Irish Terrier.
Split from the Norwich Terrier in 1964 after years of disagreement over the two types of ear carriage (prick and drop ears). Norfolk and Norwich Terriers are essentially the same breed except for the ear carriage (Norfolk terrier has drop ears).
