Weimaraner overview
Old German breed dating back to the 1600s.
Used for tracking and retrieving game.
Bold and fearless to the extent that it can also act as a guard dog.
Can be a dominant type and needs good training.
Will be best in country environments, but can do well in town households if given sufficient exercise and attention.

Colours, markings and patterns
Preferably silver grey; shades of mouse or roe grey are permissible. Blending to lighter shade on head and ears.
Dark eel stripe frequently occurs along back.
Whole coat gives an appearance of metallic sheen.
Small white mark permissible on chest. White spots resulting from injuries not penalized.
